As life moves on.

It has been a while since I have added to my blog. I have constantly updated the scores of the weekly football games, but I have slacked on adding to this page. Time just seems to be flying by, without stopping to smell the roses.

Monica and I have begun the waiting process of the well-known "GREEN CARD". The whole process started at the end of August when we shelled out nearly $2000.00 for the process fees, fingerprints, medical exam, and I think just a bonus for our government.(last item is puring speculation on my part) The whole process should take about 6 months. We have received our receipts for payment and application, so that was the first good sign. A few days later we received the notice and appointment for her fingerprinting. (Monica will forever be labeled and in the 'System') We will have to wipe down our fingerprints from now on. After our appointment, again we will be forced to waiting on our lovely government til we receive her permission to work and a temporary social security number (which will become her permanent one at the end). Hopefully by March we will have two legal aliens living in our household. At that point, you can all bet that we will be immediately running south of the border. (THE IRONY).

We will keep you all posted on the whole process. Hopefully everything runs smoothly and we can be done with this whole process.

In my experience, the government processess paperwork at a rate akin to Molasses. Just be patient... Let's just hope the goverment mails you something before the aarp does. Here's to hoping!
